Position Title:

Junior Biomedical Engineer

Medical Device Support:

o Assist in the design, development, and testing of medical devices and

equipment.

o Participate in product prototyping, calibration, and testing.

o Perform routine maintenance and repair on medical devices and equipment.

2. Technical Assistance:

o Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving issues with medical

equipment.

o Assist in ensuring that medical devices comply with safety and regulatory

standards.

3. Research Assistance:

o Help with research projects by gathering data, preparing experimental setups,

and analysing results.

o Support faculty and students working on biomedical research projects.

o Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ensuring a safe and efficient

research environment.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

o Assist in documenting technical specifications, maintenance logs, and test

results.

o Help prepare reports on device performance, research outcomes, and project

progress.

5. Teaching Support:

o Assist in preparing educational materials and presentations for students in

biomedical engineering courses.

o Help set up laboratory demonstrations and simulations.

o Provide guidance to students working on biomedical projects under faculty

supervision.

6. Collaboration:

o Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, and

engineers.

o Attend and contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

o Support compliance efforts by assisting with the preparation of documents

related to regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, IEC).

o Ensure all equipment adheres to health and safety protocols.

8. Inventory and Equipment Management:

o Help manage medical device inventory, ensuring that equipment is regularly

checked and well-maintained.

o Assist with ordering parts, materials, and tools necessary for biomedical engineering tasks.
