Job Description

The position



The Junior Architect role at the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat in Mumbai involves supporting civil and infrastructure projects by ensuring quality standards, coordinating with consultants, and conducting daily site supervision. Responsibilities also include managing on-site resources, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to planning and budgeting efforts. The role requires strong coordination skills and proficiency in design software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Responsible and accountable for ensuring AKDN quality standards in all civil and infrastructural projects.

Liaise with beneficiaries for implementing Project activities.

Undertake daily site supervision as per instructions and ensure implementation of quality parameters.

Undertake material and labour (skilled) management on site.

create architectural drawings and coordinate with consultants.

Report daily progress for each site to Program Manager before close of Business hours.

Maintain and file all relevant documents pertaining to project activities.

Maintain all documentation pertaining to project / program activities including proper bills / receipt / vouchers while incurring any expenditure related to Project / Program.

Participate in cross functional departmental exercise.

Support in identifying opportunities for new projects and infrastructure needs.

Support Preparation of yearly budgets and new proposals.



The requirements



Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's in Architecture.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural design



Skills:



Good understanding of construction quality assurance and control parameters.

Excellent Co-ordination Skills.

Expertise in design software like AutoCAD and Sketchup.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of building codes for India.
