You will support periodic processes of adhering to VAT, GST or sales tax obligations in selected jurisdictions. As the Junior VAT Analyst, you will develop experience as related to standard tax reporting tools, collect indirect tax expertise in a few jurisdictions and build knowledge regarding firm accounting systems and policies.
You will conduct a combination of tax control and analytical activities. This involves participation in periodic tax reporting process coordinated by more senior team members, as well as taking ownership of assigned reporting tasks and working on statutory deadlines. It will include collecting necessary data from our ERP system, reviewing correctness of individual accounting records and preparing drafts of submission forms as per local statutory requirements.
With support from more senior colleagues in the team, as the Junior Analyst you will work on:Preparing periodic (usually monthly) indirect tax reporting forms and reports for company legal entities in a few jurisdictions Verifying periodic transactional records in terms of input tax deductibility or output tax applicability, also correctness of applied tax codes Ensuring accuracy of tax returns as per local statutory requirements and monitoring periodic deadlines Maintaining monthly reconciliation of VAT GL accounts and coordination of the clearing items Using tax reporting tools to conduct tax control checks and prepare tax reports Supporting accounting teams in accurate formal quality check of processed invoices Providing feedback to local finance managers on current tax payable amounts, correctness of accounting records and reconciliation items Tracking expected indirect tax law changes in supported jurisdictions Participating in team project work managed by more senior colleagues
In this role, you will help ensure the firm's tax transparency and the accuracy of tax reporting, while fulfilling statutory obligations.
You will be based in our Gurgaon office as part of a global Indirect Tax Team, which has members also in Poland and Germany.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required 1-4 years of prior experience in indirect tax matters would be an added advantage CA with semi-qualified experience are preferred Ability to work in a collaborative way to provide services across multiple stakeholders while adhering to legal requirements Basic understanding of VAT/GST regimes Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment * Outstanding organization skills; detail-oriented; able to prioritize and multitask; strong ownership evident through responsibility and accountability for end product; highly proactive mindset
