Job Overview:
We are a
manufacturing company
seeking a dedicated
SAP Business One Administrator
to manage our ERP operations and support our production workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP B1 with specific knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and production planning, supported by strong IT fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP B1 Administration - Manufacturing Focus (Primary):
Administer and maintain SAP Business One system for manufacturing operations
Manage
Production Module
including Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Orders, and Work Orders
Oversee
Inventory Management
for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
Handle
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
and production scheduling in SAP B1
Support
Store
including stock transfers, goods receipt, and goods issue processes
Generate production reports, inventory analysis, and manufacturing performance dashboards
Manage
Quality Control
documentation and batch/serial number tracking in SAP B1
Configure and maintain SAP B1 manufacturing workflows and approval processes
Perform daily system monitoring, database backups, and performance optimization
Manage user accounts, authorizations, and role-based access for production, warehouse, and purchase teams
Support integration between Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance modules
Handle data imports/exports for vendor records, item masters, and production data
Coordinate with production managers and plant teams for SAP B1 issue resolution
Assist in SAP B1 version upgrades, patches, and manufacturing add-on implementations
Manufacturing-Specific Tasks:
Support shop floor operations with real-time SAP B1 data access and updates
Maintain item master data, BOMs, routings, and resource planning configurations
Generate purchase requisitions and production plans based on sales orders and demand
Track production costs, material consumption, and variance analysis
Ensure accurate stock reconciliation and cycle counting processes
IT Support (Secondary):
Troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity issues affecting SAP B1 access
Support IT infrastructure for production, warehouse, and office environments
Ensure reliable network connectivity across manufacturing plant and administrative areas
Collaborate with IT vendors and SAP partners for system integration and support
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
SAP B1 Experience:
Minimum 2 to 4 years in SAP Business One administration, preferably in
manufacturing/production environment
Strong understanding of SAP B1
Production, Inventory, MRP, and Purchasing modules
Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Orders, and manufacturing workflows
Knowledge of manufacturing processes: production planning, material consumption, finished goods management
Proficiency in SAP B1 report generation, especially for production, inventory, and costing reports
Experience with batch management, serial numbers, and quality control tracking
Technical Skills:
Educational Background: ITI (Computer & Hardware), Diploma, BCA, or related IT/Manufacturing certification
Working knowledge of Windows Server, SQL databases (MSSQL/HANA), and networking
Computer hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance capabilities
Familiarity with Crystal Reports or SAP B1 reporting tools
Understanding of barcode systems and shop floor data collection (desirable)
Manufacturing Domain Knowledge:
Understanding of manufacturing operations, production cycles, and supply chain processes
Knowledge of raw material procurement, production scheduling, and inventory optimization
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production reporting
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with production, warehouse, and purchase teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shift timings flexibility
Team player with ability to support cross-functional departments
