Job Summary:

A

Junior Accountant

is responsible for assisting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with basic accounting knowledge looking to build a career in finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports. Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting software. Reconcile bank statements and ledgers. Process invoices and follow up on payments. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain organized financial records and documentation. Assist with internal and external audits. Handle petty cash and expense claims. Help prepare tax filings and compliance documents. Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing and payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

Internship or prior experience in an accounting or finance role. Familiarity with ERP systems. Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
