Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The role involves supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording. Support the preparation of financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledger entries. Aid in maintaining organised financial records and documentation for audit purposes. Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes under supervision. Collaborate with senior accountants to improve financial procedures and workflows. Help with data entry and general administrative duties related to financial management. Participate in mentoring programmes to develop professional skills within the finance team.

Experience

Previous experience or exposure to financial services or accounting environments is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly advantageous. Basic understanding of financial management principles and practices. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced team members.
