Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial bookkeeping, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career (0-2 years' experience) who wants to gain exposure in a retail/fitness-equipment business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions and post them to accounting journals/ledgers in tally.
Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in tally.
Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, supplier/vendor accounts and customer accounts in tally.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow schedules.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as required.
Ensure all invoices, bills and expense claims are processed in a timely manner.
Help maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedules and inventory valuation support.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: GST, TDS, etc., liaising with external tax consultants or internal teams.
Support audit activities and assist external auditors as requested.
Collaborate with the showroom sales, operations and procurement teams to ensure financial data is captured accurately.
Assist in any ad-hoc financial/administrative tasks as requested by management.
