The Accounts Assistant will support the finance and accounts department by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and assisting in compliance and reporting activities. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining books of accounts, ledgers, and vouchers
Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software
Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payment entries
Assist in bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
Maintain records of accounts payable and receivable
Support GST compliance, filing, and documentation
Assist in TDS calculations and related filings
Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for accounts-related queries
Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Required Skills & Competencies:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Familiarity with accounting software (Tally, ERP, or similar)
Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
Understanding of GST and TDS (basic level)
Good numerical and analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
Certification in accounting/software (preferred)
Experience:
1-5 years of experience in accounts or finance role
Working Conditions:
Full-time, office-based role
6 days working (as per company policy)
