Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Analysis:

Conduct thorough physical and chemical testing of incoming raw materials (e.g., grains, proteins, additives) to ensure they meet procurement specifications before being accepted into production.

Finished Product Analysis:

Perform routine analysis of finished feed products to verify compliance with nutritional labels, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Laboratory Operations:

Prepare and standardize test solutions and reagents, operate and maintain analytical equipment (e.g., moisture analyzers, pH meters, potentially HPLC or GC if applicable), and ensure the laboratory environment is clean, organized, and safe.

Quality Control & Documentation:

Document all test results accurately, prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and maintain detailed records and logbooks.

Troubleshooting & Investigations:

Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results or production issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.

Method Development & Validation:

Assist in developing and validating new analytical methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing and quality control processes.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all laboratory activities and testing procedures comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., local feed safety regulations, GMP, ISO standards) and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

Experience:

Previous experience working in a quality control laboratory, preferably within the food, feed, or agricultural industry.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in laboratory techniques, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with laboratory equipment and data analysis software.
