They also support senior accountants by assisting with financial report preparation, budget development, and month-end close processes. Key duties involve maintaining the accuracy of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and aiding in audits. Key responsibilities Financial record keeping: Accurately record daily financial transactions and maintain ledgers. Data entry: Enter data for all financial activities and update financial records. Accounts payable/receivable: Process invoices, expense forms, and requests for payments. Bank reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy. Financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Budget support: Help in the preparation and tracking of budgets. Month-end and year-end close: Assist with the closing processes for each accounting period. Audit and compliance: Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles. Tax support: Assist with the preparation and filing of tax documents and statutory filings. Required skills and qualifications Education: Typically a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Software proficiency: Experience with accounting software (like QuickBooks, SAP) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. Organizational skills: The ability to organize and maintain well-kept financial documents and records. Communication skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
