Shopify Developer

who understands both the technical and aesthetic demands of the clothing industry.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Shopify Developer with a strong background in clothing e-commerce. You will be responsible for

building, upgrading, and maintaining our Shopify store

. Your role will include implementing new features, optimizing user experience, ensuring site speed, and keeping the platform up to date with the latest Shopify tools and apps.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain www.ethnicmela.in on Shopify. Customize themes and templates based on seasonal and product-line updates. Integrate third-party apps, payment gateways, and APIs as needed. Ensure cross-device, cross-browser compatibility and responsive design. Implement and improve product filters, collections, size guides, and variant logic. Regularly test website performance, loading speeds, and UX flow. Collaborate with design, marketing, and inventory teams to ensure a cohesive digital presence. Stay updated with Shopify platform changes, liquid code updates, and new features. Support during major product launches, sales campaigns, and collection drops.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience developing Shopify stores, especially in the

apparel/fashion

segment. Strong knowledge of

Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

, and front-end frameworks. Experience with Shopify 2.0 themes and metafields. Familiarity with

fashion product pages

, lookbooks, and custom size charts. Knowledge of e-commerce best practices: conversion optimization, SEO, analytics. Ability to troubleshoot and debug site issues independently. Familiarity with integrations like WhatsApp Chat, Instagram Feeds, Email Marketing Tools and CRM systems.

Bonus Points:

UI/UX sensibility in fashion/clothing layout. Experience with mobile-first design. Familiarity with Indian ethnic wear markets and customer preferences. Knowledge of image optimization for fast loading product galleries.

Who You Are:

You've worked on fashion or apparel stores and understand how online customers shop for clothes. You are open to learning and constantly updating your skills. You care about performance, clean code, and smooth customer experiences. You're proactive, communicative, and can work with minimal supervision.
