Junior SEO Analyst
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll focus on optimizing and managing Google Business Profiles - helping us improve local presence, increase footfall, and drive organic traffic through strategic GMB updates and enhancements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Google Business Profile (GBP) Support:
Assist in optimizing GBP listings - including business information, categories, attributes, photos, posts, and managing customer reviews.
Local SEO Execution:
Support efforts in improving local rankings through NAP consistency, citation submissions, geo-targeted keyword usage, and hyperlocal strategies.
Keyword Research (Local Focus):
Conduct keyword research tailored to local search intent and business categories, using tools like Google Keyword Planner or Uber suggest.
Content Optimization for Local Intent:
Work with content teams to suggest local landing page content and GBP post ideas (offers, events, Q&A, updates) that align with client goals.
Reputation Management:
Monitor GBP reviews and assist in developing review response templates and proactive review generation strategies.
Citation Building & Cleanup:
Support submission and audit of local business listings across directories to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Data Monitoring & Insights:
Track GBP Insights, analyse data on views, actions, and direction requests, and provide input on performance trends.
Basic Technical SEO Assistance:
Monitor indexing status, sitemap submissions, and page-level SEO improvements to support local performance.
Reporting & Documentation:
Contribute to regular reporting on GBP metrics, local visibility, keyword rankings, and suggest data-driven improvements.
Team Coordination:
Work closely with senior analysts to execute local SEO strategies and stay updated with the latest changes in Google's local algorithms.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in SEO or digital marketing.
Basic understanding of
Google Business Profiles
and local search optimization.
Familiarity with tools like
Google Search Console
,
Google Analytics (GA4)
, and
Google Business Profile Manager
.
Knowledge of NAP consistency, local citations, and location-based ranking factors.
Proficiency in using CMS platforms like
WordPress
is a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the local SEO domain.
