Job Title: Safety Officer

Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Roles & Responsibilities:

? Enforce Safety Protocols:

? Ensure that all employees and contractors on-site adhere to safety protocols and

guidelines.

? Monitor daily activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, rules, and

regulations.

? Ensure that safety measures are in place and observed during all construction

activities.

? Safety Audits & Inspections:

? Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks

on-site.

? Evaluate the effectiveness of the current safety management system and recommend

improvements.

? Address any unsafe practices and ensure immediate corrective actions are taken.

? Emergency Response Plans:

? Develop and maintain detailed emergency response plans (fire, medical, electrical,

etc.) for the construction site.

? Conduct periodic drills and tests to ensure the team is well-prepared for any

emergency situations.

? Maintain clear communication with all site personnel on emergency procedures and

responsibilities.

? Training & Awareness:

? Provide safety training sessions for all employees, contractors, and workers to

ensure they are aware of safety procedures, risks, and proper equipment handling.

? Create and maintain safety awareness programs and materials to improve overall

safety consciousness on-site.

? Safety Documentation:

? Maintain accurate records of safety training, audits, incidents, and reports.

? Prepare regular safety reports for management and regulatory bodies.

? Ensure that all required safety certifications and documentation are up-to-date.

? Compliance with Legal & Regulatory Requirements:

? Stay updated on the latest health, safety, and environmental regulations.

? Ensure that the site complies with all local and national safety laws and

construction-specific regulations.

? Work closely with regulatory bodies and third-party auditors to ensure full

compliance.

? Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment:

? Identify potential hazards on the construction site, including environmental and

equipment-related risks.

? Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate risks.

? Maintain a safe work environment by eliminating or controlling identified hazards.

? Accident Investigation:

? Investigate any accidents or near-misses on-site, analyze the root causes, and

implement corrective actions.

? Ensure that incidents are documented accurately and promptly, with follow-up

action to prevent recurrence.

? Collaboration:

? Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and workers to address safety

concerns and suggest improvements to the construction process.

? Support all departments in maintaining a high level of safety across the site.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

? Educational Qualification:

? Relevant Safety-related certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).

? Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related

field is preferred.

? Experience:

? 2 to 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role, specifically in

construction or building projects.

? Hands-on experience in managing safety protocols and emergency response plans at

construction sites.

? Key Skills:

? In-depth knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and practices.

? Strong ability to conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

? Experience in emergency preparedness and incident investigation.

? Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and educate workers on

safety protocols.

? Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
