Job Description

Job Purpose

:

To ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials, finished goods, and other resources by managing logistics, dispatch, inward/outward transportation, and coordination with internal teams. This role oversees transportation arrangements, loading/unloading operations, crane handling, manpower management, and compliance with safety standards to support smooth production and delivery workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Take dispatch clearance from Sales Team and verify order readiness before shipment. Arrange vehicles and transportation for outgoing dispatch and inward material movement. Supervise loading and unloading of materials, panels, or finished goods. Operate cranes and other material handling equipment safely. Coordinate with store, production, and sales teams for dispatch and inward material requirements. Communicate dispatch completion to the Sales Team for further client notification. Maintain proper documentation of all inward/outward movements and transportation records. Ensure safe handling of materials during loading, unloading, and storage. Track pending dispatches, monitor transport schedules, and optimize routes for efficiency. Review vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and identify cost optimization opportunities. Conduct periodic inspections of vehicles, cranes, and handling equipment to ensure safety and reliability. o Manage manpower under the logistics section, including task allocation, supervision, and training. Identify areas for process improvements in logistics and dispatch operations. Participate in monthly reporting, audits, and operational reviews with management. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation planning, and dispatch operations. Ability to operate cranes and supervise safe loading/unloading activities. Good organizational, coordination, and multitasking skills. o Ability to handle documentation, reporting, and ERP/system entries accurately. Strong communication and team management skills for coordination with internal teams. Awareness of safety standards, occupational hazards, and compliance in material handling. Problem-solving skills to address transport delays, manpower issues, or process bottlenecks.
