Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
Prepare and review project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate feasibility and identify potential risks or issues.
2. Construction Management:
Oversee the construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulations.
Monitor construction progress and quality, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to site personnel, subcontractors, and construction teams.
3. Design and Engineering:
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Collaborate with architects and structural engineers to optimize designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Provide input on design modifications or value engineering solutions as required.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet established standards.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
Address any non-conformities or deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Promote and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures at the construction site.
Monitor and evaluate environmental impacts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and change orders.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including "as-built" drawings and technical reports.
Generate periodic reports on project status, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with a focus on construction site management.
Proficient in using engineering software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and project management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
