1.To assist in the working of conceptual and basic design of industrial projects involving Heating,
Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
2.To assist in the preparation of the room books.
3.To assist in preparation layout zoning--area classification, Air Handling Units (AHU) zoning, and
pressure differential.
4.To assist in system design using heat load and static pressure calculations.
5.To assist in the selection of HVAC equipment or systems for industrial projects.
6.To assist in the preparation of HVAC electrical load lists.
7.To assist in the preparation of the airflow diagrams and control logic diagrams.
8.To assist in the preparation of the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and costing of the HVAC system.
9.To assist in the selection of the Building Management System (BMS) field devices and controller and
prepare the Input Output (IO) summary.
10.To assist in preparing technical specifications and data sheets of the HVAC system and its
components.
11.To assist in resolving coordination issues with other departments during the design process.
12.To assist in technical discussions with vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and
obtain offers from them.
13.To assist in preparing technical and commercial comparisons of HVAC systems and their
components.
Requirements1.Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to assist the seniors.
2.Basic knowledge of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and Sheet Metal and Air
Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) guidelines for HVAC.
3.HVAC and its component vendors or manufacturers.
4.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent.
5.Basic duct sizing software and related calculations.
6.Basic Heat load calculations for HVAC.
7.Awareness of HVAC equipment specification and selection.
8.Knowledge of major HVAC or Cleanroom and its components vendors or manufacturers.
9.Basic HVAC Concepts of Temp and Relative Humidity (RH).

10.Understand and make Air Handling Unit (AHU) zoning, temperature, and RH in layouts.
11.Familiarity with various options that are available in HVAC equipment or systems--like once-through
and recirculation AHU, Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems, etc.
12.Knowledge of Apparatus Dew Point (ADP) selection and quantity calculation.
