Job Description

- Junior Design Engineer

Role:

To support the design team in creating product drawings, models, and documentation, and assist in the development of functional and efficient product designs.

Skills Required:

Basic understanding of design principles and product development processes

Proficiency in Solid works software

(e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Willingness to learn and improve technical skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing 2D and 3D design drawings, models, and layouts

Support senior designers in developing design concepts and prototypes

Update and maintain design documentation, BOM, and revision history

Coordinate with production, R&D, and QC teams for design clarifications

Conduct basic design calculations, material selection, and technical evaluations

Ensure that designs follow company standards and customer requirements

Participate in prototype testing and incorporate feedback into design modifications

Provide timely updates on task progress to the Design Engineer/Design Manager

Authorities:

Prepare and submit draft design concepts for review

Suggest design improvements or modifications to senior team members

Access design files, drawings, and project data as required

Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Design Engineer / Design Manager
Supervises: No direct reports

Key Results Expected:

Accurate and timely completion of assigned design tasks

Quality of drawings with minimal errors or rework

Effective coordination with cross-functional teams

Contribution to smooth prototyping and product development

Continuous improvement in design skills and software proficiency

Key Performance Matrix:

Timely submission of drawings and design documentation

Accuracy and quality of design work (low rework percentage)

Adherence to design guidelines and standards

Support provided during prototyping and testing

Improvement in CAD and technical competencies over time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
