The Junior Civil Engineer - Commercial Property supports engineering, maintenance, and construction-related activities across commercial buildings such as offices, malls, industrial parks, and mixed-use properties. The role involves assisting in site inspections, project coordination, repair planning, vendor supervision, and ensuring that all civil works meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities-
Site Inspection & Maintenance
Conduct routine inspections of building structures, civil works, and external areas.
Identify defects, safety hazards, and maintenance needs (cracks, seepage, flooring issues, facade condition, etc.).
Assist in preparing condition assessment reports and recommending corrective actions.
Project Coordination
Support planning and execution of civil repair, renovation, and construction projects.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants for timely completion of tasks.
Monitor progress, ensure adherence to specifications, and report deviations.
Assist in quantity measurement, BOQ preparation, and material estimation.
Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure all works comply with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Participate in quality inspections, testing, and documentation of civil works.
Support in obtaining required approvals and permits for projects.
Technical Support
Prepare drawings, sketches, and technical documentation under guidance.
Support structural audits and property evaluations when required.
Maintain updated records of building plans, project files, and maintenance logs.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Assist in overseeing contractors, verifying workmanship, and resolving minor site issues.
Coordinate with facility management teams, tenants, and mall/office management to minimize disruptions during work.
Verify contractor bills based on completed work.
Safety & Reporting
Ensure compliance with site safety standards and support safety audits.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports, inspection sheets, and progress updates.
Report issues promptly to senior engineers for timely resolution.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience-
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
1-5 years of experience in commercial property maintenance or construction .
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of civil engineering materials, construction methods, and building systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
Understanding of building codes and safety standards.
