Key Responsibilities
Create and modify
2D drawings
in
AutoCAD
.
Develop
3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
in
SolidWorks
.
Prepare
BOM
, technical documentation, and GD&T-based drawings.
Work on
design improvements, reverse engineering
, and concept layout preparation.
Coordinate with production, quality, and R&D teams for drawing feasibility and modifications.
Perform
tolerance checks, fit/clearance studies
, and basic design validation.
Maintain drawing standards, version control, and documentation as per engineering practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical
1-2 years of industry experience as a CAD Engineer.
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
(2D drafting, layouts, detailing).
Strong proficiency in
SolidWorks
(3D modeling, assemblies, drawing creation).
Understanding of
manufacturing processes
-- machining, sheet metal, casting, fabrication.
Good knowledge of
GD&T and drafting standards
.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Nice to Have
Exposure to SolidWorks PDM.
Basic FEA knowledge (SolidWorks Simulation).
Hands-on experience with prototypes, measurements, or shop floor coordination.
