1. Daily Rounds: Conduct daily inspections of all medical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
2. Breakdown Calls: Attend to breakdown calls for medical equipment, maintaining detailed records in the Call Management Register (CMR).
3. Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support for biomedical equipment to staff as needed.
4. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on all medical equipment twice a year, as required by NABH standards.
5. Calibration: Carry out annual calibration of all medical equipment in compliance with NABH guidelines.
6. Follow-ups: Regularly follow up on any reported equipment breakdowns to ensure timely resolution.
7. Inventory Assistance: Assist in managing and maintaining inventory records related to biomedical equipment and accessories.
8. Documentation: Ensure that all documentation related to medical equipment is up to date and accurate.
9. Gas Supply Management:
o Operate and maintain the air compressor and vacuum plant. o Change the O2 cylinder bank by moving approximately 80 kg cylinders (6 cylinders) every 2-4 days. o Coordinate manpower for transporting new stock of cylinders from the vehicle to the gas bank, addressing space constraints. o Need to manage centralized gas bank for SSEI and SSCI. 1
10. Gas Bank Inspections: Conduct daily rounds to monitor the gas bank on every floor, ensuring proper functioning of gas cylinders and centralized gas supply.
11. Pressure Monitoring: Maintain pressure readings at assigned locations and replace cylinders when they are empty.
12. Service Engineer Coordination: Collaborate with service engineers during breakdown calls or preventive maintenance visits, ensuring all issues are resolved.
13. Routine Updates: Provide regular updates and follow-ups on routine tasks to the Biomedical Manager.
14. Installation Support: Assist with the installation of new medical equipment as required.
15. Chemotherapy Department Follow-up: Communicate with the Chemotherapy department and OPD supervisors to prevent equipment shortages.
QUALIFICATION: -Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical
