We are seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter with at least 2+ years of experience in construction drafting to join our team remotely. The Architectural Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans based on architectural designs and specifications, supporting the construction process and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and blueprints using AutoCAD software based on architectural designs, sketches, and specifications.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines, and incorporate feedback into draft designs.
3. Prepare drawings for construction permits, zoning approvals, and client presentations, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and design standards.
4. Review and analyze technical documents, specifications, and construction documents to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
5. Coordinate with project teams to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical components into architectural drawings and plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
6. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information, verify dimensions, and address design or construction issues as needed.
7. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and version control of architectural drawings and revisions, and update drawings based on feedback and modifications.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of drafting standards, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality of architectural drafting processes.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in architectural drafting and design, and apply knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree or certification in Architectural Drafting, CAD Design, or related field; bachelor's degree in civil or equivalent experience is a plus.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter or similar role in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other architectural drafting software.
4. Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, construction methods, and materials.
5. Excellent technical drawing skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and translate design concepts into accurate drawings.
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Familiarity with project management principles and software is a plus.
8. Willingness to work remotely and collaborate with team members in a virtual environment.
