Job Description

Assist senior architects in preparing conceptual and detailed design proposals. Support in client presentations, preparing mood boards, 3D visuals, and design reports. Conduct site visits to understand existing conditions, verify construction progress, and assist in resolving on-site design issues. Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions. Contribute to the preparation of BOQs, specifications, and cost estimates. Maintain project documentation, drawing registers, and revision records. Research sustainable design strategies, new materials, and technologies for innovative project solutions. Participate in internal design discussions and brainstorming sessions to support creative development. Provide assistance in statutory drawings and approvals (building permissions, compliance with local by-laws, etc.).Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems. Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications. Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents. Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval. Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs, plans. Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit. Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project. Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.

Skills:

High attention to detail. Excellent client-facing and influencing skills. An awareness of the specific environmental and social impact of your projects. Willingness to travel within 100-Km radius. Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Familiarity with Revit software highly desirable Working knowledge of VectorWorks (Preferred)
