Job Controller / Supervisor



Position



Position Overview



The Job Controller / Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily operational activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion. This role oversees technicians/staff, monitors job progress, manages resources, and ensures compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Job Planning & Coordination



Schedule and allocate jobs to technicians or team members based on skill level, availability, and priority. Prepare job cards, work orders, and ensure all required materials and tools are available. Track job timelines and coordinate with other departments (procurement, logistics, customer service).

2. Supervising & Team Management



Supervise daily activities of technicians and operators. Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and monitor job performance. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members. Manage attendance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.

3. Job Monitoring & Quality Control



Ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and meet quality standards. Inspect completed work and verify adherence to specifications. Resolve operational issues and escalate when necessary.

4. Communication & Reporting



Maintain clear communication with internal departments and clients regarding job status. Report delays, risks, and resource shortages in a timely manner. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (job completion, productivity, efficiency).

5. Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines and company policies. Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Management, or related field (optional based on industry).

Experience



2-5 years' experience in job control, supervision, operations, or similar role. Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple tasks.

Skills



Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in job scheduling systems/software (if applicable). Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
