The Trainee Chemist will assist the QC and R&D teams in routine laboratory activities, testing, documentation, and research-related work. The role is designed to provide hands-on training in quality control procedures and research & development operations while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control (QC) dept:
Assist in routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Perform basic chemical and physical tests as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Record test results accurately in laboratory notebooks and relevant documents.
Support calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Follow GMP, GLP, and safety guidelines at all times.
Research & Development (R&D) dept:
Assist in formulation development, trials, and experimental work.
Support documentation of experimental data and preparation of reports.
Help in stability studies and method development under supervision.
Participate in continuous improvement and development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and chemical analysis.
Willingness to learn QC and R&D processes.
Good documentation and communication skills.
Familiarity with MS Office and laboratory records.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
Training & Development:
On-the-job training in QC testing and R&D procedures.
Exposure to GMP, GLP, and regulatory documentation.
Guidance from senior chemists and supervisors.
