Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Jira and Confluence Administrator with strong automation and process optimization skills to own, configure, and continuously improve our Atlassian ecosystem. This role will partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and scale agile practices through automation and integrations.

The ideal candidate is both technically hands-on and process-oriented, capable of translating business needs into efficient Jira workflows, Confluence knowledge structures, and automated solutions.
Principal Responsibilities:

Atlassian Administration:

Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
Configure and maintain projects, spaces, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions, and notification schemes.
Manage user access, groups, roles, and licensing.
Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security best practices.
Provide guidance on Jira and Confluence best practices.

Automation & Workflow Optimization:

Design, implement, and maintain Jira automation rules to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
Build advanced automation using:
Jira Automation (native)
ScriptRunner (Groovy) or equivalent tools
Webhooks, REST APIs, and third-party integrations
Automate lifecycle events such as issue transitions, approvals, notifications, SLAs, and reporting

Integrations & Reporting:

Build dashboards and reports using Jira dashboards, filters, and marketplace apps

Support & Enablement:

Act as the primary escalation point for Jira/Confluence issues and enhancements.
Provide training, documentation, and self-service guides for users and admins.
Evaluate, test, and manage Atlassian Marketplace apps


Position Requirements:

5 to 8 years of hands-on Jira and Confluence administration experience
Strong experience with Jira automation and workflow customization
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., ScriptRunner, Groovy, Python, or similar)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Atlassian certifications (ACP, ACP-Jira, ACP-Confluence, ACP-Automation)
Experience in large or enterprise Jira environments
