Description & Qualifications

Description Job Summary:
The Lead Software Engineer will be a hands-on technical role and is responsible for ensuring customer service excellence in technical support, implementation, and the maintenance of new and existing features and enhancements for Jira, Confluence and Aha! This role is also responsible for detailed system requirements, technical specifications, development and support for customizations.


Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Provide business facing support and problem resolution - troubleshoot production issues, identify and address the root cause
• Maintain expert, in depth knowledge of the platform including workflows, customizations, and integrations.
• Perform system monitoring trend analysis to identify errors and deficiencies and make product improvement recommendations.
• Adhere to established project management methodology, SDLC, support and service management policies and procedures; and create and maintain SOPs for processes and tasks related to the platform environments.
• Design and develop customizations for the platform to extend capabilities and features
• Work with internal stakeholders to scope out modifications and convert functional requirements to technical specifications and design documents.
• Perform unit testing and validation to ensure developed code meets the technical and functional specifications.
• Actively contribute to the improvement, performance analysis, operations and monitoring applications, frameworks and tools.
• Conduct training and/or provide documentation for new features, functions and 3rd party add-ons as needed.
• Build, develop and grow relationships with users and other stakeholders.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Knowledgeable of basic Windows and Linux server administration
• Programming experience with Groovy, C#, Java, JavaScript, Angular or other object-oriented language
• Working knowledge of database design and SQL (Query Language)
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to analyze issues and to work effectively with cross functional groups to craft solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in an IT application development, administration or configuration role related to enterprise business technology systems
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in understanding business problems and opportunities, collaborating on requirements, and translating requirements to technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Jira certification
• Proven track record of success with 4+ years in systems analysis and support of Jira, Confluence and/or Aha!
• Experience in development, implementation and application support
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, facilitation and relationship building skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe).
• Curiosity and passion for delivering high quality and innovative technical solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies quickly
