Job Description

A counter staff member at a jewelry store is primarily responsible for assisting customers with their jewelry purchases, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, handling sales transactions, maintaining the display area, and managing inventory. They also play a key role in building customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greeting customers, providing assistance with jewelry selection, answering questions about products, and addressing customer concerns.

Sales Transactions:

Processing sales, handling payments (cash, card, etc.), and accurately recording transactions.

Product Knowledge:

Developing a strong understanding of the jewelry, materials, and craftsmanship to effectively advise customers.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining the display area, ensuring proper arrangement and security of jewelry, and assisting with restocking.

Sales Support:

Achieving sales targets, upselling and cross-selling products, and contributing to overall store sales goals.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining customer records, updating product information, and assisting with other administrative tasks.

Maintaining a positive store environment:

Ensuring the sales counter and display area are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.

Customer Service Experience:

Proven experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Product Knowledge:

Familiarity with jewelry, gemstones, and different types of jewelry.

Sales Skills:

Ability to effectively close sales, upsell, and achieve sales targets.

Basic Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using a point-of-sale (POS) system and other relevant software.

Attention to Detail:

Accuracy in handling transactions and managing inventory.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to address customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.

Pay: ?8,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
