Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

CAD Designer

to join our team in

Mumbai, Maharashtra

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D designs and technical drawings for various projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to industry standards and client specifications. The role requires a strong grasp of design principles, excellent software proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Drafting:

Create accurate and detailed

2D and 3D CAD models, schematics, and technical drawings

from conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, based on industry).

Collaboration:

Work closely with

Engineers, Architects, and Project Teams

to understand project requirements, resolve design conflicts, and ensure all design elements are feasible, functional, and integrated smoothly.

Revision and Quality Control:

Review and revise designs and drawings based on feedback, project changes, and testing outcomes. Conduct thorough checks for dimensional accuracy, material specification, and compliance with

industry codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, BIS)

and regulations.

Documentation:

Prepare, manage, and maintain an organized database of all design documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), design files, revision histories, and project-related data.

Problem-Solving:

Analyze complex design problems and propose practical, cost-effective, and innovative solutions, focusing on

Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

principles.

Adherence to Standards:

Ensure all work adheres to company drafting standards, procedures, and quality protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Diploma

or

Bachelor's Degree

in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related technical field. Relevant CAD certifications are a significant advantage.

Experience

Minimum

2-5 years

of professional experience as a CAD Designer or Draftsman, preferably in the

Mumbai/Maharashtra

region or a comparable fast-paced industry environment (e.g., Construction, Manufacturing, Automotive, or Oil & Gas).

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

Proficiency

in at least one major CAD software suite:

AutoCAD

(Mandatory for most roles)

SolidWorks / CATIA / Siemens NX

(Common for Mechanical/Product Design)

Revit / AutoCAD Civil 3D

(Common for Architectural/Civil Design) Strong knowledge of

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

principles. Ability to interpret and create

engineering blueprints, P&IDs, and architectural layouts

. Familiarity with file management and version control systems for CAD data.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

Competitive and commensurate with experience and skills. (Average annual salaries for a CAD Designer in Mumbai typically range from

?3.5 Lakhs to ?8.5 Lakhs+

depending on industry and experience).
