Your Impact:
Looking for a talented and self-motivated Java developer to join our highly skilled ZENworks engineering team working with advanced software development methodologies. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of Core Java and be passionate to work with a talented team of software engineers to develop scalable, highly available enterprise-grade solutions.
About ZENworks: For 25+ years, ZENworks has been helping customers automate IT management and business processes across physical, virtual and cloud environments with comprehensive, integrated tools. It provides a set of cross-platform products with management capability across the lifecycle of desktops, laptops, servers and mobile devices, deployed by large enterprises. ZENworks offers both SaaS and On-Premises solutions to its customers.
What the role offers:

• Understand, estimate and implement requirements working with team lead / architect / product manager for developing new features in the product
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for feature enhancements and bugs
• Work with team members to review feature design
• Work with test engineers to review test cases and scenarios
• Work with technical writers to create and review product documentation
• Understand customer environment, product deployment to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
• Independently handle tasks in assigned areas of responsibility and demonstrate continuous improvement
• Rapidly learn emerging technologies in the industry and apply the knowledge in development
• Passion to deliver with excellence and strong teamwork mindset

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent with 3 -6 years' experience.
• Strong design skills with deep understanding of object-oriented programming
• Strong Java programming skills with experience in developing multi-threaded modules
• Deep experience using debugging and dump analyzer tools
• Good understanding of web services (SOAP/REST) and related technologies such as AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options

Desirable skills:

• Experience using Hibernate, JDBC, database programming; SQL programming
• Experience with UI tech stack will be an added advantage
• Experience working on enterprise-grade solutions
• Understanding of best development practices
• Experience of agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
• Experience of Test-Driven Development practices (TDD)
• Knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL)
• Experience using unit test frameworks such as JUnit
• Knowledge of Linux Operating System and related tools

One last thing:

• You are persistent and inquisitive. You have to understand why things are happening the way they are.
• You are determined to understand cyber attack techniques at a very detailed level.
• You are a self-starter who is able to work with minimal management, however have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work together with several other professionals from other information security fields.
• You're a creative thinker who wants to answer the question, "Why?"

• You have a desire to learn new technologies.
