The role is for a developer responsible for delivery of the application components in the APAC Securities Settlement domain within Operations Technology (OT) Division.

You will be expected to:

• Be proficient in Technical stack/tools such as Java, J2EE, JMS or MQ Series, Control-M, JDBC, Spring Boot, Oracle DBMS, RESTful or SOAP/WebServices, XML, JSON, SOAP, JavaScript, Junit; JIRA, Maven, SharePoint. Exposure to KAFKA will be an added advantage

• Optimally communicate with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Tech Leads

• Develop solutions for a portfolio of applications in the securities settlement domain

• Collaborate with globally diverse developers (CS, contractor and external vendors) including leadership of offshore and outsourced development teams regardless of time zones

• Required to work in a complex and dynamic environment

• Ensure high-quality component-level design and implementation of strategic components through the entire software development process using multiple delivery models

• Enforce to standard coding practices and deliver defect free product

• Plan and conduct successful unit, performance, system, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring applications are able to meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess below:

Must have:

4- 13 years of relevant IT experience. Investment Banking IT background preferred

You have extensive expertise in distributed technologies required - JAVA, JDBC, SpringBoot, XML, AngularJS, Spring, JMS, JavaScript

Unix/Linux experience is required. Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools Exposure to KAFKA will be an added advantage

Working knowledge on Perl programming would be an added advantage

Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools

Exposure to DevOps concepts...Build automation - DevOps, pipelines

You have proven experience in SQL* Plus, PL/SQL and stored procedures with various databases especially Oracle on Unix/Linux

knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle

strong communication skills - oral and written

Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

team-player with good interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities

Knowledge on Open Source tools used in development process (like Git)

Proven ability to analyze business problems and devise effective IT solutions

Comfortable working across a number of different technologies

Be able to work in global teams and adapt to an agile environment

Nice to have:

Cloud deployment - Kubernetes, Docker, Azure/AWS/GCP

MongoDB or any other noSQL db experience

Inmemory caching technologies - Apache Ignite/Oracle Coherence or EhCache
