Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Scale distributed applications, make architectural tradeoffs in applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code and deliver with agility and quality. Optimize APIs for better performance; ease of use and maintenance. Maintain good code coverage for both existing and new products/projects. Exposure to backend, web layer and middleware/streaming/messing platforms. Participate in the continuous integration of automated builds and deployments, ensuring that deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements and specifications of the site/software. Participate & inculcate culture of code review, writing design documents, and collaborating closely with other people. Work with engineering leadership in solving and architecting solutions for challenging or complex site/software development issues. Take initiatives in developing and maintaining integrations of best practices within the backend department. Good To Have: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline) as well as work experience of 8+ years in backend software technologies like Java and Spring boot. Strong experience in one or more NoSQL databases (eg Cassandra, Redshift, Aerospike, MongoDB) and MYSQL Databases. Strong experience in distributed architecture and system design Experience in working with micro-service architecture Experience in Unit testing/integration testing of backend APIs using Junit or any unit testing framework Prior experience of working with cloud platform, preferably AWS (Amazon web service) Should be able to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English Startup experience is a huge plus.
