Job Description

We're looking for a Java developer to support an active project with immediate delivery needs. This is a short-term contract role, so we're expecting someone who can contribute from day one rather than ramp up slowly.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance backend services using

Java and Spring Boot

Fix production and QA-reported issues with a root-cause mindset Work on RESTful APIs and integrate with existing systems Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to close requirements quickly Ensure code quality through proper logging, exception handling, and basic testing Adhere to existing architecture and coding standards (and flag problems where they exist)

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with

Java (8+)

and

Spring Boot

Experience building and consuming

REST APIs

Solid understanding of

Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate

Working knowledge of

SQL databases

(MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle) Familiarity with

Git

and standard CI/CD workflows Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have

Exposure to

microservices architecture

Experience with

Spring Security

or JWT-based authentication Prior contract or short-term project experience Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments

Contract Expectations

3-month engagement (extension dependent on project needs and performance) Immediate or short-notice availability preferred Mumbai-based candidates strongly preferred due to collaboration requirements

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
