About the Role

We are hiring an experienced

Java Backend Developer

for a contractual position starting with a

3-month engagement

, extendable based on performance. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance server-side applications using Java, following industry best practices. Build and maintain

RESTful APIs

and

microservices-based

architectures. Implement business logic, data access layers, and integrations with external systems. Work with

MySQL

and

Oracle

databases, including schema design, query development, and performance tuning. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using OOP principles and modern design patterns. Perform unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure software quality and stability. Participate in application integration, deployment, and version control (Git/Maven). Prepare and maintain technical documentation for backend services and APIs. Collaborate with frontend and QA teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with

Java (version 17 or above)

. Solid knowledge of

Spring Framework

(Core, MVC, Security, Web Services). Experience with

Spring Boot (version 3 or above)

for building microservices. Strong understanding of

REST API

development and integration. Experience with

JDBC

and

JPA/Hibernate

. Good understanding of

MySQL

and

Oracle

databases. Excellent grasp of

OOP

principles and design patterns. Experience using

Git

and

Maven

for version control and build management.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with

Apache Tomcat

or similar application servers. Basic knowledge of

Unix/Linux

tools and scripting. Understanding of application security concepts (authentication, authorization, secure configuration). Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML, Angular) is a plus, not mandatory. Strong communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
