Java Backend Developer

with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate is deeply involved in technology, actively writes production-grade code, and enjoys building scalable, high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using

Java

. Build and consume

RESTful / SOAP APIs

, understanding when and why to use each. Work with

relational databases (MySQL / MS-SQL)

and write optimized, complex SQL queries. Apply strong knowledge of

OOP principles, Design Patterns, Algorithms, and Data Structures

. Implement solutions with a clear understanding of trade-offs such as: Strong typing vs ease of use Scalability vs simplicity MVCC vs multiple backend storage engines Browser compatibility vs community support Ensure high-quality code through

code reviews (one-on-one and online)

and advocate best practices. Focus on

performance optimization, scalability, clean architecture, and automated testing

. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver software with an excellent user experience. Stay updated with emerging technologies and help guide the team in adopting new standards. Actively participate in technical discussions and challenge existing approaches to improve outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2-4 years of hands-on experience in

Java backend development

. Strong experience with

Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate

(mandatory). Solid understanding of

Java concurrency and multithreading concepts

. Proficiency in

RESTful services

, API design, and backend architecture. Strong grasp of

Networking and Operating System fundamentals

. Experience working on

scalable applications

, preferably in startups or large internet-based products. Passion for

clean code, testing, and software craftsmanship

. Excellent

oral and written communication skills

with strong logical reasoning. Strong business understanding and ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Good to Have

Contributions to

open-source projects

, technical blogging, or active participation in developer communities. Experience mentoring or coaching team members on best practices. Exposure to high-traffic, distributed systems.
