Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Product Engineers III - Backend to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of scalable product development, and a passion for building high-performance applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver robust, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework for building robust, scalable APIs and microservices. Working knowledge of PostgreSQL for data modelling and query optimisation. Hands-on experience with Redpanda/Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies (good to have). Familiarity with Hasura GraphQL or related API platforms (good to have). Understanding of RESTful API design principles and security best practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code versioning (Git), and agile development workflows.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices. Build efficient APIs and data integration solutions supporting dynamic frontend applications. Collaborate with DevOps and architecture teams to ensure smooth deployments and system reliability. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Contribute to continuous improvement in coding standards and development practices.

Strong Computer Science and Software Engineering fundamentals, including: Algorithmic complexity & Data Structures Networking protocols & Data formats Object-oriented analysis and design Multithreading and concurrency Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities in an agile team environment. Proactive, self-driven, and capable of taking ownership of deliverables.
