About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java / Spring Boot Developer with a strong background in eCommerce platforms and backend systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services and microservices to support high-performance online shopping and order management systems. Experience with logistics or supply chain systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

RESTful APIs

and backend

microservices

using Java and Spring Boot. Collaborate with

frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams

to deliver secure, scalable eCommerce solutions. Integrate core eCommerce modules including

product catalog, cart, checkout, order management, inventory, payment gateways, and shipping systems

. Optimize system

performance, reliability, and scalability

to support high-traffic eCommerce applications. Design, implement, and optimize

relational and NoSQL database schemas

(PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.). Implement best practices for

application security

, authentication, authorization, and data protection. Troubleshoot and resolve

production issues

, focusing on performance, stability, and customer impact.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in

Java (8 or above)

with hands-on experience in

Spring Boot

and

Spring Security

. Experience developing and integrating

RESTful backend APIs

and

microservices

. Familiarity with frontend integrations using

React.js, Next.js

, or similar modern frameworks. Solid understanding of

eCommerce business workflows

: product catalog, pricing, cart, checkout, order lifecycle, and customer management. Experience integrating with

payment gateways

, shipping/logistics APIs, and third-party eCommerce platforms. Strong expertise in

JPA/Hibernate

,

PostgreSQL

, and database design principles. Experience with

message queues

and

asynchronous processing

. Exposure to

Docker

,

CI/CD pipelines

, and

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency with

Git

and collaboration tools such as

JIRA, Confluence

, etc. Experience in customizing or developing solutions on

Magento / Adobe Commerce, Shopify / Shopify Plus

, or other eCommerce platforms is highly desirable.

Start: Immediate to 15 Days

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
