About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned

Java Backend Developer

to join our engineering team in either Chennai or Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that power our business-critical applications. You will leverage Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Your expertise in AWS and cloud deployments will enable us to deliver robust, cloud-native services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using

Core Java

and

Spring Boot

. Build and expose

RESTful Web Services

to support front-end applications and external integrations. Design and implement

microservices architecture

for modular, scalable systems. Ensure application security by implementing

Spring Security

and industry-standard authentication/authorization mechanisms. Deploy and manage backend applications on

AWS

, leveraging cloud-native services. Develop and optimize data structures and algorithms to improve application efficiency. Debug and troubleshoot backend issues, and work with DevOps to resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize software performance, latency, and resource utilization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Frontend) to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers. Contribute to continuous improvement through best practices, patterns, and reusable components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6-8 years of professional experience in

Java backend development

. Strong proficiency in

Core Java

and solid understanding of OOP principles. Proven experience with

Spring Boot
