Job Title Java Backend Developer - Chennai Job Posting Title : Backend Developer Experience - 2-8 Years What does a successful BackEnd Developer do at Fiserv ?

• Work in an Agile, Analyse and understand product requirements to develop application by participating in requirement gathering & analysis.
• Building self-contained, reusable, and testable API\xe2\x80\x99s using Springboot framework.
• Collaborate with UI web developers and programmers to improve usability.
• Identifies areas for improvement in existing interface structures.
• Developing functional documentation and guidelines for other team members
• Following backend architecture guidelines and best practices
• Ensuring all designs and specifications are rendered properly.
• Conduct testing of completed features and software to Assess user experience.

What you will do:

• Understand the business domain and implement the requirements.
• Work as a part of a scrum team along with ui engineers, testing engineers and Product managers. Take part in different agile ceremonies.
• Designing and developing the Rest/Soap API\xe2\x80\x99s using spring boot.
• Collaborate with the UI developer in the process of building the Restful API and integration.
• Document and run unit tests to enhance product performance.
• Work on bug fixing to improve product performance.

What you will need to have:

• Good understanding of core Java, Object Oriented concepts and Design patterns
• Strong Knowledge in JAVA 8 concepts.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Java,spring, springboot and Rest api.
• Strong proficiency and development experience in REST & SOAP api\xe2\x80\x99s using spring boot frame work.
• Experience with Hibernate & AWS.
• Experience with writing unit test cases.
• Strong debugging skills and Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team-player who can also work independently and ability to learn new tools quickly and independently.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and must be familiar with git repositories (like github or bitbucket)
• Strong MYSQL knowledge
• Able to Design DB model based on Requirements.

What would be great to have:

• Experience integrating and implementing AWS Glue job using Python.
• Experience in AWS Step functions.
• Experience in CI/CD tools.
• Experience in JAVA 11 & above versions.
