The role requires strong expertise in architecture and application design, with hands-on experience in Java Microservices, Spring Boot, Core Java, React JS, and Node JS. Candidates should have experience across payment schemes such as BACS, FPS, CHAPS, International, and ICS to support payment platforms and compliance initiatives, along with cloud proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP. A solid understanding of CI/CD tools and containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker is essential. The position demands technical leadership, coaching best development practices, and delivering high-quality software while setting strategic direction for large-scale enterprise applications and digital transformation. Strong collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders and the ability to author design and technical white papers are required. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of taking ideas from inception to delivery, a practical problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to manage multiple projects independently with timely communication and escalation is key, along with a commercially focused, entrepreneurial spirit. Additional qualities include quick learning, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a user-centered approach emphasizing usability and client experience. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, though other disciplines may be considered, combined with a well-rounded academic background.
