We are seeking a highly experienced Java Architect with deep expertise in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and Apache Kafka to design and lead the implementation of scalable, high-performance distributed systems. You will play a key role in architecting solutions that handle high-throughput event streaming, ensuring system resiliency, scalability, and performance in real-time data environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

15+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.

5+ years in architectural roles designing distributed, scalable systems.

Deep understanding of Apache Kafka, including topic design, producer/consumer optimization, schema registry, and message durability.

Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar microservices frameworks.

Strong knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture, including concepts like event sourcing, stream processing, and domain-driven design (DDD).

Experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and KSQL is a plus. Familiarity with other messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Pulsar, or AWS Kinesis is beneficial. Hands-on with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to mentor and guide teams in design and implementation. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration capabilities.
