Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Java Application Support Engineer with expertise in managing applications on AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing a Java application deployed in Tomcat on RHEL Linux, hosted on the AWS platform. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the MySQL database utilized by the Java application, ensuring seamless integration with AWS services.Key Responsibilities:

• Java Application Management on AWS:

• Configure, monitor, and manage the Java application deployed in Tomcat on RHEL Linux on the AWS platform.
• Utilize AWS services for optimal deployment, scalability, and performance of the Java application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Java application\'s performance, stability, and functionality on AWS.
• Database Administration on AWS:

• Manage and monitor the MySQL database supporting the Java application on AWS.
• Leverage AWS database services for efficient management, backups, updates, and optimizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure optimal performance on AWS.
• AWS Expertise:

• Demonstrate familiarity with a variety of AWS services relevant to application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Work closely with AWS resources to implement best practices and ensure seamless integration with the overall AWS infrastructure.
• Rest API Expertise:

• Demonstrate proficiency in working with Rest APIs, integrating them effectively within the Java application on AWS.
• Mobile Application Understanding:

• Possess a solid understanding of Android and iOS application development.
• Collaborate with mobile development teams to ensure seamless integration with the Java application on AWS.
• Experience:

• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting Java applications and MySQL databases.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Java application deployment and configuration in a Linux environment on AWS.
• Strong database administration skills, with a focus on MySQL on AWS.
• Familiarity with Rest API design and implementation.
• Understanding of Android and iOS application development processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location - reporting to Goregoan West, job would involve onsite visit to clients
