To be successful as a Java / API Developer, you should have experience with:
Strong knowledge in Object Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts, Core Java 7/8, Middle tier technologies e.g. JPA/hibernate, Spring, unit testing, mocking frameworks and caching concepts.
Strong knowledge of tools like Chef, SonarQube, Jenkins, Java, Maven, Nexus etc.
Strong knowledge of Web services (SOAP, REST and Micro Services) with Spring.
Strong knowledge of technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring-JMS, Spring-Data.
Good knowledge of Test Driven Development, Pair programming and System integration.
Good knowledge of DevOps process and CI:CD toolset.
Good communicator and team player.
Awareness of Cloud hosting - Open Shift Enterprise, AWS, etc.
Knowledge of tools such as Maven, Gradle, etc.
Ability to enforce code quality using tools like SonarQube, Checkmark, Veracode as feedback loops.
Working in an Agile Environment.

Good understanding of Acquiring and Payments domain.
Experience of working with RDBMS development experience (e.g. Oracle) & SQL skills.
Experience of using the Git source code control system.
