Senior Software Engineer - Devops Developer

Position Description
Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes pods that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing in Azure and AWS.
Work closely with Application Dev , Infra and automation teams to provide fully automated deployment routines for Production.
Monitoring system activity and tuning system parameters for optimal performance, configuring communications with other platforms/networks, configuring/managing system security, and maintaining current release levels and patch revision.
Work across functional (development, testing, deployment, systems/ infrastructure) and project teams to ensure continuous operation of all Azure/AWS environments.
Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of our systems and environments
Build and maintain appropriate log gathering, system monitoring, and reporting infrastructures, using Grafana, Prometheus , Elastic Search / Kibana
Operate in a managed services support role for the implementation and our customer support groups requires availability 24/7 at times to load software updates, projects required to work during the maintenance windows and also in cases of emergency .

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Technical Analyst will be responsible for:

• Proactively monitor, support and troubleshoot CGI All Payments application regarding its system health and operation with respect to resolving managed service requests and supporting production matters per the Managed Services Operational Framework
• Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls / emails, determine the callers needs, answer general inquiries and / or gather appropriate information to support timely resolution of the request
• Accurately document the call, and if applicable, initiate and follow the appropriate workflow when the issue is not immediately resolved and/or escalated
• Stay informed of system status and other technical dependencies that may affect the applications front-end or back-end user experience.
• Work with client and client assigned personnel in the resolution of functional request while providing the resolution according to agreed upon service levels

• Support user and system administration as needed to maintain an healthy and functional CGI All Payments solution
• The person should have very good experience regards to reviewing and analyzing server, middleware, application logs, managing/changing cloud architecture configuration and this work will also include working closely with the development team with regards to managing software quality
• The person should be familiar with supporting customer facing three tier applications and have the ability to resolve service request while working with third party technical product teams
• The individual should also be experienced using system monitoring tools such as Microsoft Operations Manager, Prometheus, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Kabana, Kubernetes, Lenz to analyze, manage, and report on system health and security center services
• Work may require flexible work periods to address application and client needs
• Input into internal and external organizations towards development of standards as well as efficiencies.
• Adheres to engineering methodologies and architecture global standards.
• Adhere to CGI and ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- 10+ years of Kubernetes, Azure or AWS
- DevOps Tools
- CI /CD Specialist
- Containerization
- Good verbal and written communication skill.
- Basic Skills on Grafana and Prometheus
- Microsoft Azure/AWS and cloud deployment and support of those deployments
- Experience with JIRA (Atlassian) to manage service requests and problem incidents
- Experience with YAML, GIT(Source Code Repository) and shell scripting to manage/automate daily operational tasks
