The IVF Lab Technician supports fertility treatments by handling semen analysis, sample processing, lab maintenance, and documentation while strictly following quality, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities (IVF Specific)
Perform semen analysis as per WHO guidelines
Handle sample collection, labeling, processing & storage
Assist in sperm preparation techniques (wash, swim-up, DGC)
Maintain IVF & andrology lab equipment and consumables
Prepare and monitor culture media, reagents & disposables
Maintain temperature, humidity & lab environment parameters
Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Maintain accurate lab registers, reports & documentation
Assist embryologist/doctor during procedures when required
Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Skills Required
Knowledge of IVF lab procedures
Sample handling & laboratory techniques
Equipment handling & basic troubleshooting
Documentation & attention to detail
Basic computer knowledge (LIS/HIS)
Good coordination & communication skills
Immediate joining preferred
