Cloud Network Security Engineer (AVP Level)
About Information Technology:
The Cloud Platform team is part of the Information Technology department of the bank. The team is responsible for the engineering and management of all the cloud platforms in the bank.
About the Role:
Senior Cloud Network Security Engineer is responsible for managing a team of CLoud Network.
Designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure withing our cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Architecture:
Develop cloud network architectures that align with business requirements, considering factors like redundancy, load balancing, and security best practices.
Design and implement virtual networks, subnets, and routing configurations within cloud platforms.
Select appropriate cloud networking components like VPN gateways, firewalls, load balancers, and transit gateways based on specific needs.
Implementation and Deployment:
Provision and configure cloud network resources on chosen platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Deploy network security groups (NSGs) and access control lists (ACLs) to manage network traffic and security.
Automate network deployments using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor cloud network performance metrics (latency, bandwidth, packet loss) to identify potential issues.
Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve network-related incidents.
Analyze network logs and performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimize network configurations.
Security Management:
Implement robust cloud network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
Manage network segmentation and least-privilege access controls.
Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering;
Cloud solution Certified, Checkpoint/PaloAlto/F5 certified
10-12 years of experience in a Cloud netsec Engineering role or related position.
Strong awareness of AWS /GCP/ Azure network Cloud Architectural & Operational experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices.
Should have trouble-shooting skills to work on issues
Role Proficiencies:
Hands-on deployment knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud components
Worked on various virtual firewalls, WAF, Proxies, DDOS etc
AWS/Azure/GCP cloud components best practices implementation.
