Use soldering iron, hot air gun, and rework tools.
Apply solder paste and perform manual SMD placement if required.
Ensure clean and strong solder joints.
2. Inspection & Quality Control
Inspect PCBs visually and with magnifiers/microscopes.
Identify defects such as cold solder, bridging, dry joints, polarity issues.
Follow
IPC standards
or company quality guidelines.
Report errors and rework the PCB when needed.
3. Component Handling
Read and understand component values: resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, etc.
Check polarity and orientation before placement.
Handle components safely to avoid ESD damage.
4. Tools & Equipment Management
Operate soldering irons, cutters, tweezers, multi-meters.
Maintain soldering equipment and ensure work area cleanliness.
Follow ESD safety guidelines.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Follow assembly instructions, BOM, work orders, and drawings.
Fill production reports and update work status.
Coordinate with supervisors for material or process issues.
