Job Description

for ITI Mechanical Draughtsman:
Draughtsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for 2D /3d Machining (Milling/drilling/Wire Cut/Sparking) specifically for elements of "Progressive Tools" designed by the in-house team. They will be working with the design team, translating design information into schematics using CAD software. Their duties include preparing drawings, layouts, and assembly diagrams, as well as making revisions based on engineering changes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drawing Preparation:

• Preparing detailed mechanical drawings from sketches, notes, data, or samples.

• Creating assembly drawings, showing plan, elevation, and sectional views.

• Preparing drawings for specific projects.

• CAD Software:

• Using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD/NX/Solida Works, etc.) to create and modify drawings.

• Creating 3D models and preparing printable drawings.

• Technical Skills:

• Calculating dimensions, tolerances, and materials required for the drawings.

• Understanding and applying relevant standards and codes (e.g., IS codes).

• Other Tasks:

• Preparing estimates, Strip Layouts, help with documentation (DFM, MSC, PFD, etc.)

• Making purchase requisitions (PR) for equipment.

• Checking drawings for conformity and accuracy.

• IT Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is must.

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and drafting practices.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues during drafting and design.

• Communication: Clear communication skills to work with engineers and other team members.

• Drafting Skills: Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings.

• Education: ITI certificate in Mechanical Draughtsman.
