Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
Learn to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand mechanical assembly requirements.
Perform basic mechanical fitting tasks, including measuring, cutting, threading, and shaping metal components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and machines under supervision for various fitting and maintenance activities.
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and components.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workshop and workplace.
Observe and follow all safety regulations and guidelines while working with equipment and tools.
Document maintenance and repair work performed and report progress to supervisors.
Participate in on-the-job training sessions and attend related theoretical classes as per apprenticeship guidelines.
Collaborate with senior team members to learn advanced fitting techniques.
Required Qualifications
:
ITI certification in Fitter or related trade.
Basic knowledge of mechanical concepts and tools.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
Good communication skills.
Preferred Skills
:
Prior experience in a mechanical workshop or industrial setting (optional).
Basic understanding of machine operation and maintenance.
Ability to use measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
