Job Description

An ITI student specializing in Fitter trades can find entry-level positions focused on installation, maintenance, and repair. They will assist senior technicians and engineers, learn to interpret technical drawings, and ensure safety compliance. Key tasks include assisting with installations, assembling, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting basic issues.

Fitter

:

Mechanical Assembly:

Assisting in the assembly and fitting of mechanical components and machinery.

Maintenance and Repair:

Performing routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Tool Operation:

Using hand and power tools for fitting and assembly tasks.

Quality Control:

Inspecting parts and ensuring proper fit and alignment.

Safety Awareness:

Adhering to safety regulations and procedures during work.
General Responsibilities:

Assisting Senior Technicians:

Working under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Learning and Development:

Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.

Teamwork:

Collaborating with other team members to complete projects.

Problem Solving:

Contributing to the resolution of technical issues.

Adaptability:

Being flexible and willing to learn new skills and procedures.

What we're looking for:

You've recently completed or are about to complete your ITI in any relevant trade like
o Fitter

o Welder

o Sheet Metal Worker

o Fabricator

You're eager to learn and have a good attitude. You pay attention to details. You're able to follow instructions. You're comfortable working with your hands. You're interested in learning a valuable skill in the manufacturing industry.
