Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Install, align, and maintain machinery used in rolling mill operations (e.g., rollers, gearboxes, conveyors, couplings). Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical components. Perform equipment inspections to detect faults and recommend necessary repairs. Overhaul worn-out or damaged machine parts. Ensure proper lubrication and functioning of rotating equipment. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and repair records. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE during all maintenance activities. Collaborate with the electrical and production teams to minimize equipment downtime. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals. Assist in commissioning and testing of new machinery or upgrades. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and tools.

Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a rolling mill or heavy industrial environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documents. Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Physical stamina and ability to work in hot and noisy environments.
